She furthered her education at the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, obtaining a degree in fine and applied arts. Before her acting career, she was an announcer and broadcaster on Radio Nigeria and participated in a soap opera titled "Someone Cares" by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).


Patience Ozokwor's career took off with the 1999 movie "Authority," and she gained prominence through her role in the TV drama soap opera "Someone Cares" on NTA. Since then, she has acted in over 100 movies, showcasing her talent and versatility. Notable films include "Chief Daddy" (2018), "Chief Daddy 2: Going for Broke" (2022), and the Mo Abudu Netflix movie.


In her personal life, Ozokwor got married at the age of 19 and became a widow in 2000. She has three biological children and five adopted ones, all carrying her name. Despite facing personal challenges, she is an ordained evangelist.


Her remarkable achievements in the film industry earned her the Best Supporting Actress awards at the 2012 and 2013 Africa Movie Academy Awards. In 2014, she was honored as one of the top 100 Nigerians by the government to celebrate the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorates. In 2023, she received the Merit Award at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards.
