Osei Kofi, a Ghanaian footballer who has since retired, made significant contributions to the sport while representing both Asante Kotoko S.C. and the Ghana national football team. Notably, he emerged as a joint top scorer in the 1965 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, where Ghana secured victory for the second time. Renowned for his remarkable ball dribbling skills, Kofi earned the nickname 'wizard dribbler.' Despite being offered a lucrative opportunity to play in Europe in 1969, he opted to remain dedicated to his local roots. Later in life, Kofi pursued a different calling and became a priest. Additionally, he served as the National Coordinator for National Games, further showcasing his commitment to sports development. Among his notable achievements are multiple Africa Cup of Nations titles and several Ghana Premier League championships with Asante Kotoko.
