After completing his primary and secondary education in Nigeria, Olu Jacobs pursued a degree in Drama from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London, United Kingdom. He honed his acting skills and gained a solid foundation in theatre arts during his time there.

Upon returning to Nigeria, Jacobs became actively involved in the Nigerian entertainment industry in the 1970s.
