Maati Bouabid
Maati Bouabid was a Moroccan politician and lawyer who served as the ninth Prime Minister of Morocco from March 22, 1979, to November 30, 1983, under King Hassan II. In addition to his role as Prime Minister, he held positions as Minister of Labor and Social Affairs from 1968 to 1970 and Minister of Justice, contributing to the country's legal and social frameworks.

MAATI BOUABID
Maati Bouabid, born in Casablanca in 1927, was a Moroccan lawyer, politician, and public official. He completed his education in Casablanca before studying law in France, where he earned his degree and a postgraduate diploma in private law from the University of Bordeaux. Upon his return to Morocco, Bouabid entered the legal profession in 1952 and became a registered lawyer in 1955.
At the start of Morocco’s independence in 1956, Bouabid was appointed public prosecutor at the regional court in Tangier, a position he held until 1957. In addition to his legal work, he served as Casablanca’s first mayor and briefly led the local football club, Raja CA, from 1966 to 1968.
In 1983, Bouabid co-founded the Constitutional Union party and served as its head across three national conferences. He also served as Minister of State from 1983 to 1985. Bouabid passed away on November 1, 1996, at the age of 69.
