Biography
Usain Bolt, Jamaican athlete, the best sprinter since Carl Lewis, and the world record holder in the 100 m, 200 m, and 4×100 m relay. Nicknamed "Lightning Bolt," he won eight gold medals at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics (100m, 200m, and 4×100 m relay). He was born in Trelawny Parish near Falmouth, where the famous Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson was also born; after a doping scandal Johnson was disqualified and stripped of his Olympic gold medals. During the 2015 Beijing world championships, Bolt became the most successful male athlete of the World Championships with a total of 11 gold medals and 2 silver. On 17 May 2020, Bolt's longtime girlfriend Kasi Bennett gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Olympia Lightning Bolt. Bolt and Bennett welcomed twin boys named Saint Leo and Thunder in June 2021.
